From the ashes we rise

Stream stats from Monday.

So my first let’s go nuzloke ended at part 5 to a pokemon with fissure. I was kinda crushed and disheartened over the thoughts of starting over but you can’t succeed if you stop trying so I vowed we would start again that following Monday. After taking the weekend to think about it I was ready to restart because the pokemon streaming community is important to me and I really enjoy it.

I’ve played pokemon since the first games came to the U.S, blue was my first game, and I’ve been in love ever since. My partners and I are working on getting an plug in for the pc that plays game boy, sp, and game boy advanced games as well as home brewed pokemon games. It’s only like $50 USD but wouldn’t get here til December if we ordered now. This is not necessary but we aren’t comfortable putting roms on our PC.

I also ordered a small cosplay and a wall mount for my streaming mic.

So eventually after my domination of let’s go Pikachu maybe we will go back and do nuzlokes of older games. Trainer Cora is here to stay! I hope you all are into it. Other things are happening on stream too like my wife and I are streaming together on Wednesday’s and my bestie Jamie may start streaming from my channel on Thursdays or Saturdays. Those are days that I am off currently.

We smashed the goals for September so look for these special streams coming up.

I hope everyone’s lives are going well currently and that you’re growing day by day. Remember good things take time, Rome wasn’t built in a day and such. Be kind to yourself and others.

Don’t forget to start reading the book club book!

Blessed be ❤

Me + Nuzlocke = Let’s Go!

Pikachu is to dang adorable.

No idea if anyone has picked up on it yet but I love Pokemon! Like I’ve played all the games in the mainline series and most of the spin-off games except the Pokemon mystery dungeon series. I really want to play the older games still but my eyes are not able to see the 3ds screen as well as I used to. When “Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee” came out I was elated! I could not wait to return to Kanto and catch all my favorite Pokemon again.

I played Pikachu and our wife played Eevee we had a grand time beating the games for the first time. Now though I wanna dip my toes into the frustrating and masochistic world of Nuzlockes. Let’s Go is still easy to see and seems like a good game to start my Nuzloke career with.

My Char-sleezy fighting beauty Nikki’s Pikachu.

If you’re unfamiliar with the basic Nuzlocke rules here’s the skinny:

1: You can only catch the first pokemon you encounter in an area. This can be a route or a town.

2: If a pokemon faints it is considered dead and must be either released or place in a dead box in the PC.

3: Always nickname your pokemon, this will help forge stronger bonds with them.

-There are other optional rules you can include but thats the basics. For most people the run usually doesn’t start until you obtain pokeballs so if you lose to the rival fight it doesn’t count.

This lovely person right here taught me all the above rules and knows so much about Pokemon.

Here are the self imposed rules I’m imposing and these were all suggested to me after I posted on Reddit about doing my first Nuzlocke.

4. I will cover my non-patched eye and run fully blind into new routes for my first encounter.

5. I can catch more than one Pokémon per route, because of how pokemon level in the game, but they must be turned into candies.

6. If a shiny Pokémon occurs I can catch it and keep it.

So on September 13th I’m gonna start this journey. I hope some of you will join me on Twitch.tv/witchcorabell and help me name some Pokemon as I fight towards the elite 4 and being a Pokemon Master.
